I am going to give this elegant Snowman away this weekend in honor of all the followers that this blog now has. I will draw on Sunday night and all it takes to win is a comment on this post. That should give you a good chance to win. How easy is that! I would love for it to be YOURS!
As you can probably tell, I am constantly working on Christmas right now. That's my JOB and this is preparation month.
I have had comments and emails that some don't like the glitz....Hang with me...I will do some non glitz in a post soon. I do some very Southern Living looks, just happens that the houses I am getting ready for right now want GLITZ and GLAMOUR. I feel like it is such a privilege to be able to give you tips, but I don't want to give you more information than you want. In this post I want to show you some new color combinations, just variations of shades of greens and reds. I also want you to see that the more different ribbons you mix the prettier your bow looks.

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO MIX COLORS
BUY BERRIES In ALL COLORS and SIZES
THEY ARE THE BEST FILLER and YOU CAN STICK THEM IN THE TREE and HIDE ANY HOLES or COVER LIGHT CORDS.
THESE WERE SOME THINGS I PICKED UP AT HOBBY LOBBY. THIS STAR is LIGHT WEIGHT and ANOTHER GREAT BUY and a
GREAT FILLER.
SEVERAL VIEWS OF A WREATH THAT HAS LOTS OF COLORS AND LOTS OF BERRIES
ALSO A SMALL TABLE TOP TREE WITH BEAUTIFUL RIBBON. MANY TIMES WE MAKE TWO OF THESE, MADE JUST ALIKE and USE ON EACH END OF a BUFFET. We ADD THE PEARL LIGHTS and ITS an INEXPENSIVE WAY to GET an EXPENSIVE LOOK
It is a very dreary and rainy Friday night here in Shreveport.....a great night to stay in and work on trees. Actually it has been a GOOD DAY, as I got a much needed massage, got my hair cut and am now settled in to get some work done. My husband is out of town, so I am cranking up the Christmas music, have candles lit in every room and plan to get lots of work done. My favorite holiday CD's TONIGHT are B.J. Thomas's Christmas is Coming Home, T.D. Jakes Follow The Star, Christmas by Alabama, and Martina McBride's White Christmas! What are some of your favorites?
Also if you decided to do "The Jesus Tree" , please email me (annah99@aol.com) your mailing address and I will mail you a scroll. I do mine on parchment paper, but you could do it many ways.

Have a great weekend. TTFN ~Marydon
I love all your Christmas decorations. It is really getting my in the Christmas spirit. I love the snowman you are giving away!
Hi Teresa, it's cold and it was raining here earlier (indiana)too. I love anything Martina Mcbride but I don't have her christmas CD I didn't know she even had that one...where have I been????....I like the way your bows are so full. Everytime I try to make a bow like that it turns out uneven and for lack of a better word, NASTY looking. I can make basic bows but not as gorgous as yours. I also like glitz but hubby doesn't :( so I stay more of a classic christmas. The snowman is adorable...you find such neat things....Have a terrific weekend and don't work too hard....Hugs, Jennifer
I collect snowmen and that one is too cute!!!
I am loving your ideas and glitz!
Keep it coming!
Hugs.
Kim
What a dapper snowman, Teresa ~ I'd love to give him a home! : )
I love your bows! How do you get them so full? I would love if you do a post on that at some point.
My first visit to your blog and I am thankful to a friend who suggested I take a look at it. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. I would love to spend a day with you and learn!!!
God bless you and your family!
nice giveaway...and I collect snowmen so how perfect! Love all of your ideas. Decorating my house for Christmas is one of my fav things to do!
Teresa, thank you for your visit, I love reading comments.
Can't imagine anyone complaining about too much glitz, everything is so lovely......:-) Hugs
I could give that cute little guy a very happy home. The first cd I play every Christmas season is Jimmy Buffett Christmas Island.
I am one of the non glitz ones, but please don't think I was being critical, I am in awe of all you do and the talents you are sharing, thank you.
The snowman is a cutie!! Would love to win him! I LOVE that wide ribbon in the lime green, it is my favorite!!
What a fun giveaway! I love snowmen!
That ADORABLE snowman is welcome at our home. hehe
Oh my, all of the decorations are just stunning and the little snowman is precious. What a lovely giveaway. I look forward to more of your beautiful decorations. Hugs, Marty
I have had to limit myself to your blog because it is just getting me too excited! Thanks for all the fun ideas and give aways. I haven't commented before, but I just had to tell you that I am enjoying the Christmas blog. And I love the Jesus Tree idea. I am going to have to sit and think of a plan for it all. Not sure if my husband will agree to a 8th tree....
this so nice of you i love your ideas and i think that snowman is adorable!

Gorgeous as always! I love the wide rolls of net ribbon, I use them on most of my trees plus outside around the doorway, it is very versatile and a great filler! My grandchildren would LOVE the snowman, he is adorable! Have a great decorating weekend, we are having an unseasonably cool weekend here in NW Arkansas, and I am starting to "dream" of Christmas!
Love that you are listening to Christmas music! We are getting our first snowfall of the season here in SD tonight. Puts me in a Christmas mood!
You do such beautiful work!
I love everything you do!!! And this snowman would look sooo good with my collection!!! I hope I win!!!!
oh I wasnt sure if I was suppose to leave my email just in case here it is joshndena@yahoo.com....yep I hope I win!!!! hehe
Have a super week-end its snowing here in Nebraska!!!!!
I would love to win the snowman. He's too cute. Love all your ideas. Linda in Ca.
Sign me up! Thanks for coming to my blog the other day. Good luck in your endeavors!
This blog makes me sooo excited for Christmas!! Thanks!
Teresa, I guess I would be called VERY traditional when it comes to Christmas decorations. My tree is filled with all kinds of ornaments collected throughout the years. It took me a long time to begin using ribbons as filler and to change out the tree topper for a large bow with long streamers than come to the bottom of the tree. Your bows are absolutely gorgeous as are your trees and wreaths but the colors are just not my cup of tea. I would love to go to someone else's house and see it decorated like this though. Please keep sharing. I'm sure many of your ideas will be incorporated in our house this year depending on how much I can get done. Take care and don't overdo it.
God Bless,
Mimmy

I am totally enamored with your blog.
Such fun, bling-y stuff.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I collect Snowmen...this one would just be so cha cha for my collection :>)
Can't wait to see all you have in store for us in the coming months.
I'm not crafty at all, but I'm learning so much from your blog. My favorite Christmas album ever is Amy Grant (and I think she has a few of them now).
Oh girl, you are just amazing. Is that what we call the wide rolls of ribbon--net ribbon? I'm making a trip to Hobby Lobby to find my own. That's a 50 mile trip one way so I need to make sure what to ask for. And my bow-making skills are atrocious so we definitely need a tutorial if you can work that into your schedule. Keep posting. Your blog makes my day.
I just love both your blogs and holiday decorating is my favorite thing to do! I love any and all ideas you have. I hope to be starting my own blog soon and you are an inspiration.

Wow, the only way I'll see a snowman down here in southeastern Louisiana is if I win this one! (Actually, we did have snow, a freak storm, last year in December! I took like a hundred pictures - it was so pretty)
Hugs,
Cheri

Just hopped over after you left a comment on my blog and LOVE your stuff! I'm really liking the glitz and glamour of recent Christmases and since it's my absolute favorite holiday, I'm about to spend a ton of time digging around your blog!
And by the way, I'm from a small town not too far from Shreveport (on the Texas side)!

We've been so busy at the house the last few days, this is the first chance I've had to get to my computer. One of my favorite songs is Mary Did You Know. I'm doing The Jesus Tree. I'm going to include it with some of my change of address notices. What do you think? Blessings, SusanD

I have "preached" the virtues of mixing many colors together for years, sugar! AND mixing many fabrics together is gorgeous in my humble opinion. You've got my vote on that one, chick! That bow is just lovely. Glad you dropped by to tell me.....

Connie
Love all the glitz! I especially like the color combo of red and the bright green.

Love the snowman! All of your stuff is gorgeous!
My favorite Christmas Song is What Child is This. Don't remember the album or specific rendition, but my parents had it when I was growing up...Greensleeves I think???
Wish I had that album today. My mom and sisters and I always baked dozens of Christmas cookies as we listened to it.
You are the Christmas decorating queen. Wow!
P.S. I love the song playing on your blog now. A Baby Changes Everything. Very sweet!
Have a good day!
I have to say that you sure are #1 in holiday decorating! I can't wait to see more.
Where do you get the gorgeous mesh ribbon? What I have is much narrower, but I can't find any that is any wider.
