Trees, Trees, and More Trees and Another Giveaway

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

I am in the process of unpacking 100 plus boxes of holiday "stuff", which is a back breaking job and probably the part of my business, I like LEAST.
I am posting a few more trees from last year...you can click on the pictures and enlarge them and maybe see a little better what goes into the LOADED LOOK!!! Feel free to keep the questions coming and next week I will do another Q&A. Next week I will also show you an array of ornaments from Hobby Lobby that are GREAT BUYS, especially when they are half price, which is at least every two or three weeks.
A Gingerbread Tree in a kitchen

This is one of my favorite trees....will try and get a better picture of it...It is loaded with every color ball....no other ornaments....and is on a balcony over looking the family room and another HUGE tree.
This tree is a slim tree that we just made a little fuller!!!
This is a collection of "girly things" that a we do for a client
each year for her granddaughter.....

A tree we do in a clients home office..
A gorgeous tree in a fabulous home....that they moved into a couple of weeks before Christmas last year....
A beautiful family room tree
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, but in my business, it is hard to find a spot for a pumpkin, when trees are everywhere.
Ok, lets have another GIVEAWAY!!! I have ornaments everywhere, so I need to give some away. I think they would look good on YOUR tree. Giveaways are one of my favorite things to do....Simple rules to be in the drawing.....Send a new blogger to the holiday blog...one that has not visited it before and just let me know they stopped by...and you are entered....and for every person NEW that you send my way, your name goes in the drawing again and again...plus they are entered in the giveaway too... I will draw on Sunday evening....that will give you a few
days and lots of chances to enter......
OK, lets make it a little MORE FUN.....This will be an ornament collection valued at $100.00! I am feeling very generous! Plus I want you to have your most beautiful tree EVER this year.

teresa, you don't need to enter but this is funny timing. just yesterday i sent my friend, becca, over here to check out your blog. she is a Christmas nut. if she could keep her tree(s) up all year, she would.

Hi Teresa, thanks for visiting my blog, this is my first time here (and I will visit your family blog tomorrow - I'm just about off to bed). I will for sure send some friends over here for a chance to enter your great giveaway. I have already made a Christmas binder and plan on decorating a lot more this year because we will be home for Christmas and not away visiting family. I want to put a tree in our game room this year too so I could use some extra ornaments ;-)
I'll be back soon, night night.
Hugs
Denise

ok...so My christmas tree is kind of small...but not too small. but we live in an apt. so It is small enough. Anyways...My mom and grandma bought me an ornament every year for christmas and my mom put them all into a box when I moved out and gave them to me. each on is sentimental and I could never part with any of them. When I put up my tree it looks pretty, and I could never be one of those people that puts all matchy match ornaments, just for the simple fact of my non matching mess of a an ornament collection means the world to be...and it basically embodies christmas to me, so how can I spruce up my tree and give it a more professional and together look without getting rid of my messy collection?

KEE said...

Oh I love your trees. So very beautiful. I am crazy about Christmas and make sure each member of our family gets a new ornament that pertains to something they did that year.

Anyway I'm rambling. I will try and get a post up about your giveway and hopefully I can send some visitors your way. I would love to be entered in your giveway and would be happy if some of my followers were to win.

Great blog!

Hey, Love Being a Nonny sent me your way and I'm so glad! What beautiful trees! Your blog has now been added to my favorites! Hope we win!

Angie said...

Ohh, I am in the right place now...woohoooo! I LOVE Christmas but love trees even more. I usually put up at least one tree in every room..sometimes even 2 trees in some rooms. Even the bathrooms...lol. Growing up, my mom never got a tree, and we kids would have to wait until we went to grandma's house on the 24th to see a tree and decorations...I knew once I grew up and had my own home...things were gonna be different! I love all of your trees and especially loved the gingerbread one...so sweet! We also have a Jesus tree that resides in the family room so that really struck a chord with me. I will be sure to visit again!

Teresa I noticed you have beautiful bows on all of the trees. About how much ribbon do you use to make a one of them? I really enjoyed your pictures! Yesterday at the church where I work the music pastor was opening the boxes with this year's Christmas musical in them. We do a Singing Christmas Tree presentation every year and would you believe this year it's title is "A Baby Changes Everything" based on the Faith Hill song! I thought that was so neat because of your Christmas blog and I love that song.

I've just popped over from Carrie's blog at Farming on Faith. For the past 10 years I have run Christmas decorating seminars out of my home, in friend's homes and at community venues (in NZ and Australia) It has been for love rather than money and I chose not to turn it into a business even though others urged me to.. had to give family and homeschooling first priority. At the seminars I share ideas for trees, tables, gifts and more. I also make my own bon bons and silk flower wreaths and garlands. I love to be inspired too and enjoyed looking at your abundant trees. I'm blessed to live in a forest setting with abundant greenery for decorating my home. This year I hope to offer some 'Creating Christmas' seminars via my blog. If you want to email me I can let you know about some NZ designers who decorate trees in a similar style to your own.

Christmas already! That is what I thought when I read one of my other favorite blogs "U Create." I would love to enter for a chance at your giveaway. I love love love Christmas. Right now our Christmas tree decorations are just an assortment of ornaments hand-me-downs from both my husbands and my own childhood decorations. There is nothing wrong with that, but to have a well thought out and planned tree would be a fun change this year! You have a wonderful talent.
