I DO LOVE AWARDS, BUT

Sunday, September 13, 2009

As you can see I did not get to the Questions and Answers today, instead had a very sick grandson that ended up in the ER for 5 hours. WE have had a HORRIBLE stomach bug go through our family in the last week and it seems just when we think we are OK, someone else has come down with it. I promise to try and work on them tomorrow or the next day.....as soon as I don't have a sick little buddie to take care of. I am praying that I don't get it.
I don't want any of you to think I don't appreciate the awards...I have received so many that I have not acknowledged yet, but I am going to get to all of them. This was from Michelle at Me, Hubby, All Our Misfits and a Baby on the Way. That is such a cute blog name....
Thank you so much Michelle!!!! Hope all of you will visit her.
Here are the rules..
1.) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award.
2.) Share "10 Honest Things" about myself.
3.) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4.) Tell those 7 people they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving.

My Honest Things....I wonder how honest I should be.
1. I am playing Fantasy Football for the first time this year when I don't really have time to...and along with the football, I am a RABID BRETT FARVE fan, so haters do not need to leave comments. And I know he will be 40 in October.
2. I cannot get out of my vehicle without brushing all the floor mats out. I CANNOT stand a dirty or messy car. I never leave even a water bottle in it.
3. I buy 10 magazines for every one that I ever read. I cannot pass up a magazine that has a great cover.
4. I buy my grandsons something EVERY time I go in a Walmart or Target. They know I always have a PRIZE.
5. I NEVER cook. PERIOD.
6. I send cards to friends in the mail (as in snail mail) EVERYDAY! I write them at night and put them in the mailbox before I go to bed.
7. I rarely EVER get up before 9 or 10 AM, and I rarely go to bed before 2 AM and that has to change a tad as tree season starts.
8. I always have cash in my purse. My adult kids will go days without a dollar on them...they use ATM'S. Me, I have to have a couple of hundred dollars in cash always.
9. I NEVER go to bed at night until everything is picked up or at least in a neat stack.
10. And because this is a Christmas blog, once my trees are up and decorated, I RARELY ever turn the lights OFF!

Now I pass this award to some friends.....so when you have time I would love to know more about you!

You are welcome my dear, and I should take a tip or two from your car cleaning habbits, I need to get on that one for sure. Oh and I am so excited to see all your Christmas ideas!

Thanks so much for this!!! I won't participate *formally* because I just did one of these not too long ago. But, I did want to tell you that we are a lot alike!! First of all, I plug in my candles in my windows and my tree on December first. The candles never go out until I unplug them on Dec. 26.!!

I also LOVE to send cards. I keep boxes of them handy so I don't miss anyone.

I always buy the little ones a *Surcy*...every time I go to Target!

I can't stand for my car to have anything in it! (Though I don't shake out the crumbs!:))

I love sports too...though because I am a NC girl, I am a Carolina Panthers fan. My favorite is college basketball though!!

Again, thanks for the award and I so hope Jack is better today. I prayed that you would stay healthy!

I can't wait to see all of your ideas! The mother of one of my college friends loves Christmas decorations so much that one year when the family was feeling down after moving to a new city, she put the Christmas tree up early to cheer everyone. All the neighborhood children wanted their picture taken in front of it -- in their Halloween costumes! She has since put that talent to use as a business. It's great to share that love of Christmas, and especially with those who might not get to enjoy it otherwise.

Hope your family begins to feel better VERY soon! Having sick ones is no fun at all...especially when you're in the Christmas spirit!

Thank you so much, this is too fun! I will have to give this some good thought, I want to make sure I embarrass my girls good and well:))! Hope you all are better soon, we have the same problem around here. The little ones just keep bringing in those nasty bugs! Thank the good Lord my daughter and I never seem to get it at the same time, somebody has to tend to the babies!!

Oh, goodness. I hope you never have to ride in my car. You'd probably throw up.

I love to cook.I rarely have cash. I have been known to go to bed with the house in a mess on a regular basis. I tackle it in the morning after I've slept and recharged.

So what? We're different. I love you anyway. ;)

Fun facts to read :o)

Hope that everyone is back to good health at your place!

I am amazed that you have time to play Fantasy Football! haha

Blessings & aloha!

Being that my dad's family are from WI, we have been Favre fans...just a little bit in wonder about his on again off again status... but it is in his blood...so I am sure its hard to really stay "retired" from football.

ya gotta admire his work ethics...making all the games when he was on the Packers!

I know I am at the right blog now and I absolutely love it. Love reading your truths, I too love football, actually am a sports addict except for boxing and wrestling....I too carry cash, stay up too late and get up even later.....I will be back often just for the pure enjoyment of such an entertaining blog and I feel I have found a friend...Hugs

I love your blog! Christmas is most favorite time of the year. I adore that you have a whole blog dedicated to it!!! I entered your giveaway a week or so ago. My friend, Xazmin, sent me over here from her blog. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I love making new bloggy friends. :)

I love your honest list! Brett Favre is way cool. I'm not one to poke fun. I think he's still a great QB. I'm playing Fantasy Football too. I'm on a mission to beat all the guys at my office. Such a fun list!

Hope you're having a great evening! <3

So sorry about your sick little grandson ~ I stay up late like you do too. Wish I were as neat as you, and you are blessed with the cash. Oh, and one little grandson is slightly spoiled. :)
